we don't talk enough about how much of a miracle it is that Cohost loudly and intentionally allows porn

@staff are on record as saying that they're committed to allowing as much content here as they feasibly can, forever. supporting payment for it is on the roadmap as well. and since Cohost is worker-owned, they're never going to be squeezed into censorship by VC overlords looking to transmute an audience into a profit

this is really spectacular in 2023, when Apple is busy squeezing the internet into its vision of perfectly manicured censorship, Tumblr is parading around "we allow breasts again as long as you don't get horny" as though it's some kind of win, and Patreon is cheerfully kicking off anyone who admits they've heard of sex. we're so blessed to have this place

#bitterness and salt #in fairness they're one of the only companies I've seen doing any kind of AI thing where they have explicitly said they're training their own dataset on their own proprietary material and targeting it at a specific purpose #their CEO is still a bored ape guy though so if they succeed at anything I assume it'll be by accident

What's the deal with airplane food, anyway?

Why does no one know exactly what they eat? Why do they hunt and feed in the darkest hours of the morning, when most things with souls are hidden or sleeping? Why do people and animals near airports lose their shadows from time to time? What price do we pay to tame these flying beasts?
