for a relatively long stretch of 2018 - 2021 the card reader I use for transferring images from my camera would occasionally glitch out and corrupt an image and make these accidental glitch art things.

I could never make it work on command, I tried numerous different computers, USB ports, USB Hubs, cameras, cards! The last one it ever made was in 2021 and it's not done it since. I have a full gallery of the ones it made.

kinda miss it tbh

The other day on an errand I had my camera with me and essentially at every stoplight I hit, I took a hail-mary style photo out the window without looking.

There were nine total photos from this drive, and all of them turned out normal...except this one?

Now, it's similar to the previous card reader glitches in terms of discoloration but otherwise the similarities end there as it has no portion of the original, no glitch-art lines, no printer patterns - it's just....obscenely purple?? I yeleld "OH FUCK YEA" and accidentally scared cats when I saw the preview as the file copied over.

This was taken on December 6th, and it hasn't done it since.
No rhyme, no reason - and I'm here for it.

Noun
