ugh. My current job can't offer enough shifts for me to be able to pay rent, so I'm looking for a second job to supplement my income. My previous employer (whom I quit because of toxic management) have offered me a position, saying 'we're much better now!' I don't think I can trust them, no matter how much it would actually help, financially.
This is the 3rd former employer that have asked if I want to come back to a shitty position over the course of my professional career (I returned to the other 2, tail between my legs).
While it's nice to be wanted, it's fucking soul-destroying to take 2 steps backwards EVERY FUCKING TIME I try something new.
