As much as I love using KDE Plasma with Ubuntish distros (and that's a lot), Kubuntu has just completely lost me. If they put out a statement tomorrow saying "we haven't actually been maintaining this for the past few years" I would not be surprised. Sucks, too, because I really love the concept.
