One of my favorite parts of Cohost implementing markdown is that if you naively try to use asterisks to censor words it screws up your post

you can’t even search posts based off of post contents over here! the literal purpose of censoring words, which is opting out of keyword searching, isn’t even a thing you can do. you can only search by tags, and if this website ever gets to a point where people are censoring tags out of fear, then we’re so fucking over
