@vin

while im still very much in the middle of working on this for a class, and the form i put on here will probably be a bit more left wing than the one i submit to class

ive been reading So Many Books (and other things) simultaneously to compile an antizionist "history of zionism" resource, with selected readings from specific sections of what ive been reading, ordered from introductory (or perhaps geared towards people newer to antizionism / unlearning zionism) and less-academic writing styles, to more robust sources. because i dont know how long its going to take to finish, and it very well will likely continue to be edited as i go, i'm sharing the specific books ive chosen and read at least some of if you want a place to start as well.

  1. https://decolonizepalestine.com/ (the easiest and quickest reference, many answers contain sources you can look up the full texts of)
  2. Ten Myths About Israel
  3. The Hundred Years' War on Palestine
  4. Jewish History, Jewish Religion: The Weight of Three Thousand Years
  5. The Question of Palestine
  6. The Myths of Liberal Zionism
  7. this list of 5 books on antizionism/zionism

there's more but thats been my main focus so far

in reply to @vin's post:

if youre interested in more specifics, for 1) the first section (myths 1-....5? i think?) is really really helpful and very accessible to read for questions specifically around "did the Palestinians exist (yes) and have a national identity before zionism/Israel?" (yes), zionisms religious & biblical arguments for its existence, and zionism as colonialism. for 2) this is a book by a Palestinian scholar and historian both about his family's history in the government of Palestine pre-Nakba but also how for over a hundred years the enactment and enforcement of a "jewish state" through zionism came to be. gets very into the numbers in the early years, and into the failings of the PLO and the "political solution" attempts in the later years. 3) this is by an israeli scholar and historian. it covers in the first segment, in an extremely succinct and useful fashion, the exact legality of how citizenry in a "jewish state" and israel in particular inherently creates a deeply unethical settler-colonialist/apartheid occupation and "settler" class. (understanding that "settler" refers to relationship to land and full access to citizenship, which in israel requires being jewish) 4) edward said is unmatched in his contributions to the communication of "being Palestinian" and even the Palestine liberation struggle to many americans, especially in academia. cannot recommend reading his work enough, because it just IS foundational for the conversation in many ways, and being familiar with his work is useful when it is referenced by others. 5 & 6) i havent gotten very far in this one yet, so remains to have specifics.
