When the furry fandom is written off as merely A Sex Thing, it's common to hear counterarguments about how it's so much more than that, it's a vibrant art and music and literary culture far beyond the porn. But even when those arguments are thoughtfully made and not just angling for respectability, I still think there's something missing. Yes, there's much more to furry culture than sex and porn, but eroticism is still a central pillar of it in ways that can't be neatly defined or carved out.
