Card: Falling Star

Reminder of how GLOG spells work

This spell only works if you have a physical play area and dice. If you're doing theater of the mind, work with your GM to make a rough sketch of the area on a piece of paper.

Falling Stars
Range: sight. Duration: short. Target: Anything that could get hit by an object from space.
Roll the dice you used to cast this spell onto the play area from at least two feet away from it. You can do them one at a time, and in fact that would be much easier to keep track of, but also not nearly as fun. Each dice deals damage equal to its result to anything it hit while being rolled. Not just creatures, but structures and objects in the environment.
Falling stars come from the sky, so anything under a roof or something is protected, at least until the roof is destroyed. The spell isn't super useful when you're deep in a dungeon.
A creature hit by a falling star is stunned for a turn, and if the dice knocks the figurine into an unoccupied space, the creature is pushed there.

I've always loved the card Falling Star and how wonderfully literal it is. Every card represents what it is in the game's story, but few embody it so fully and intuitively. There are many obvious reasons why they don't want these sorts of effects in standard Magic, though. They're inherently inaccessible to people who have problems with physical dexterity, for one. I think a good blanket rule for effects like this (in magic and in whatever game in which you use this spell) is that if someone needs help they can get someone else to perform whatever actions are necessary for the game.
