At some point I accepted mtg colors is kind of just calvinball rules, it's not a strict typology in any sense. Still fun to think about but they do 100% just serve the gameplay, it's about what would this character do if they were on a card. Kheral keep, the monastic order of pyromancers that pushed chandra away because they were so anti-red philosophically, have only ever been represented on monored cards when they really ought to be at least red/white if it's a personality thing.
