Sometime in mid 2022(I didnt label the file with a date like I usually do, unfortunately) I planned on making a short romance comic featuring a naive onion girl who falls head over heels for a flatwoods monster that she assumes is just a beautiful and stunningly unique onion girl like her with all kinds of odd little quirks that would be terrifying if she wasnt hopelessly oblivious. I forgot/abandoned it pretty quickly but did make this concept art and still think its a cute concept. It was going to be completely lighthearted, with the implication that the flatwoods monster grows a fondness for her back.

I'm glad you like it!! I personally hadnt really heard of them growing up and only really learned about them in adulthood and found them interesting in how their design doesnt really fall into a lot of the over the top Scary features a lot of other classic monsters have, they almost feel like if you took a fifties roswell alien and bred them like pugs. I believe what kicked off me thinking about and wanting to make these characters was Hazels flatwoods monsters in media video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKKqdp3aXRc
