I'm not a real robot, but I have a real face!

25, bi, genderless.

I have a ton of fortune cookie fortunes because I haven't thrown away a single one for over a decade. And I have this idea for an rpg mechanic where you pick a random one out of a bag as like an oracle mechanic. But it wouldn't be accessible for any playgroup that doesn't have a weirdo like me in it

That's been done, actually! The scholarly compilation "Playground Worlds" features an article on the uses of indulgence in role-playing that discusses, among other games, a game that uses fortune cookies as its sole source of random output. Mike Pohjola's "Tähti" uses this in service of a fiction that sees players assume the role of "maoist mutant teenage starlets", and the indulgence of eating fortune cookies and using their uplifting messages as prompts heightens the indulgence that comes with acting as beloved musicians... sometimes to excess.

I'm in no position to check out Tähti in its native Finnish (although perhaps another commenter might), but the "Playground Worlds" article's treatment is well worth a look, brief as it is. Perhaps it'll give you some inspiration on ways to use your bounty of fortune cookies 🥳.
