Just to set expectations, I've played SF5 a total of... 3 times, and this was pre-pandemic, like close to 6 years ago? Something like that. It didn't feel good. And every time I would look at it, it just kept feeling absolutely something like I didn't want in my life after the hours I sunk into SF4.

Street Fighter 6 however, so far? It really looks like the type of game that got me back into fighting games back when SF4 hit. I'm not a FGC person or anything, but in my eyes, it's taking some specifc approaches that were done years ago and are now able to be done with a bit more confidence with the introduction of so many new characters at the start. I really appreciate this because we all remember what happened when SF3 tried this. It flopped (even though I thought it was brilliant) and it took 3rd Strike years to catch on (I knew the dog before it came to class).

The approach to training, the gameplay for single player, the style, all of this seems to be hitting my buttons. Will I play it? I kinda hope I do. Fighting games have been something that I've been long out of but still play single player or combo training on occasion and I find I still have some sort of skill remaining.
