if i could secure a steady stream of income i would absolutely continue doing this. i would even make it run on DOS too
i made a voxel renderer on DOS a few months back. writing code on that kind of limited hardware is really fun!!
i keep thinking i should just get into quake community stuff since i keep wanting to play shooters
i love quake level geometry and i wish more indie games at least tried to imitate the vibe of those early BSP-based games
absolutely recommend the Coffee Quake 2 jam which just released, it has 132 maps, each made in under 2 hours. the quake mapping community is still going strong
