One of my favourite things about the bizarre origin story Solo: A Star Wars Story gives to Han Solo's name is that it means that at some point after Return of the Jedi, Han and Leia would have had a conversation about what last name to give their son Ben.

It could be "Organa", which not only represents the late Bail Organa, one of the founders of the Rebellion, but would also keep alive the memory of Alderaan which was destroyed by the Empire at the cost of billions of lives.

Or it could be "Solo", which was a name given to Han by a guy at the airport.

They called him "Ben Solo".

I once saw someone say that a fun way to view Solo is as an in-universe piece of propaganda made by the New Republic, made to give Han a clean image now that he's the husband of one of of the major leaders.

It's why Han has now always been a good guy at heart, actually supported the rebellion right from the start, and why now suddenly he goes to the Drugs Planet to smuggle... fuel.

It's also why Rey knows about Han, the Falcon and the Kessel Run but doesn't recognise Harrison Ford.
