Sounds like you were gonna put in way more effort than I bothered doing -- I threw this together in like an hour and most of that hour was spent trying to figure out how to convert a video into a gif without it looking like garbage lol. I'd be interested in seeing what your interpretation of Earthbound Eggbug (Earthbug?? Eggbound??) looks like when you finish it though!
oh yeah i'm definitely gonna do a battler too, earthbound battle sprites are super fun to draw tbh
they're like Fobbies with wings and bug legs. do these give you lots of EXP like Fobbies as well.
Unfortunately, if you kill eggbug, you actually lose a ton of XP, so you should run away if you see one
