One of the things I find most upsetting about america (and canada) is how none of the infrastructure or buildings are actually designed with the climate in mind. They came here and just started building like they were still in europe, and then started caring even less as time went on
yup exactly. even in ye olde yurp, there were traditional forms of housing construction that did things like defeat mold and control climate; box frame housing construction is good at nothing except being cheap to build and cheap to demolish and i hate it with my very life
