i think the word community is one of the worst things to happen to peoples brains online. you are not in community with randos and 99% of the time you cannot affect each other with your opinions other than choosing to feel bad or take offense or whatever. people who share nothing of life and living in common are not going to change each others minds about much and i beg people to internalize the term "demographic" for the sake of everyones mental health. any given website has more in common with a street corner than a clubhouse.
