largely just recording my own history for a bit and rambling on the gamedev journey

game designer and developer
i do not know how people can watch and interact with people streaming their game. i have such a weird cringe internal implosion reflex like i'm peeking through someone's window, i don't know!!!!
i can read reviews, watch vods even sometimes, but i was never meant to know what you thought in real time about stuff i worked on
coreborn, the game i've been working on for 2 years, is out in early access now. i'm a designer but i came on as the only engineer for the prototype, then convinced them that i'm better used in design and was functionally lead designer for about a year before we hired an actual lead (i turned down the offer to formally be lead, all good).
the game is a "social survival MMO" which is kinda buzzword salad but it's basically a survival game where
i'm extremely proud of what we've built, however, we are definitely a game actively in development! we're using early access for the actual purpose of early access.
here's a video of our creative director showcasing the game.
and here's the game ✨
