decided to dust off my last.fm profile and start using it again. used it 2005-2011 and then stopped when spotify and rdio became a thing and (presumably) i had no easy way to continue scrobbling.
spent the day finessing an export of my plex server's database to grab playcounts of my music in a batched CSV format for this neat tool to scrobble for me as a way to fill in some history (~5300 plays). you unfortunately cannot provide a timestamp older than 14 days, so it's going to have a massive burst in scrobbles for any day i do this on, but at least the total historical data will be more accurate for me. i've requested my extended spotify listening data and this tool will also read that and scrobble those for me, once it's ready. with 13 years of spotify, minus a few from rdio preference (rest in peace), there's so much in there i'd love to see in my last.fm data.
already hooked it up to my plex and spotify for new scrobbles, so should be set once the spotify data comes in.
(one annoyance is a daily scrobble limit of 3000, so my plex import will take two days. the spotify one's gonne be nuts)
