as much as having a built in messaging feature is a nice qol thing, not having it means going back to the pre-messaging tumblr behavior of having tags for your friends and that was the cutest shit on the planet
getting a message with a post is fantastic but scrolling and seeing something a friend tagged with your name is beyond heartwarming
