My brain is full of weird guys and neat places. I let em out to relieve the pressure in my skull.
These are The Bad Guys for our next campaign arc. The ministers in charge of law, coin and steel for the Throne’s “administrative operation” in the North. I am very excited for them to give monologues, and for them to get murked.
Scene composition heavily inspired by Satsuki Kiryuin and her goons. Font used is the Corpus font from Warframe bc it is real good at looking like almost-English block print.
I can never know home. Each night I fall asleep gazing at stars that I know will never speak to me. And I count myself among the lucky, spared from the maddening voice of higher forces and from the burning ire of the common folk. It is only right that I use this gift to break the cycle. Never again will my orphaned kin suffer such a fate.
Had to sucker my friends into helping with a high-level boss fight playtest, so we used a former player character as the maddened boss. Went for max FromSoft-style melodrama and it paid off.
Old art I didn’t post at the time - a kinda progression of Throne guards, ranging from a provincial militia guy, to a city guard, to a capital guardsman. Designing these guys is fun bc they’re kiiiinda generic European fantasy but I gotta put some weird spice on them. I think the one in the middle is closest to that goal.
