Do you want furry Wolfenstein? This is a mod for ZDoom by MSPaintR0cks which delivers just that, and a bit more. You take the role of a hedgehog as you fight against an army of cat soldiers in a quest to free your captured hedgefriends and rescue your girl.
This is a charming little shooter. It pays homage to the original Wolfenstein 3D while spicing it up a bit with a diverse enemy set and some unique new obstacles such as spike traps, fans, and more. In a way it feels sort of like a platformer with how some of these traps are applied.
In addition, each map ends with a self-destruct sequence where you flip a switch and make a run for the exit while a countdown goes off. This adds a unique spice to the game, as exploring and fighting becomes as much a way of scouting the route and clearing out a safe path to victory.
It's a cute little game! In spite of the simplistic art there is a good amount of effort put into cutscenes and set dressing and it comes together to form a nice cohesive package.
