so you know how if you hear someone yawn, you'll probably yawn too? and you know how it still works if someone just says 'yawn' or you think about yawning too hard.

well when im on discord and that happens, it trips me out to think that the yawn travelled faster than the speed of sound. by a large margin. which makes me wonder when yawns first broke the sound barrier.

it has to have been after telegrams and such right? cant see a messenger pidgeon making sonic booms or anything pre electricity. what else visual is there other than smoke signals or anything like that? because thats probably out as well since that would only really work close range and would take a hot minute to decode it into a yawn

but also i dont think it was RIGHT after the invention of them because there was all that space efficiency STOP no casual talk STOP shit right? i think its gotta be when phones started to proliferate. where you could hear how tired someone is and the gaps between words and the sighs like aaaaaaaahhhhh that slip out.
