for real ! we've been hitting mid 30's in the uk the last week and yesterday/today some parts are getting up to 39 degrees, but whenever i mention the heat to americans they're like "welcome to america"

except we dont really have any air conditioning, our houses are designed to trap heat, AND its humid as fuck (yeah i know about florida but still) so all we can do is open a window and live with the mosquitos while we hope for a slight breeze

i am fortunate enough to be able to adopt the siesta but a lot of my friends have work and cant fast travel past the painful parts of the day..

i'm an american who grew up in the south and 39C is about the hottest i've ever experienced; unless you're talking to someone from the southwest (or florida), there's a good chance they've never even had to deal with weather that hot. temperatures like those are horrible, i hope you make it through safe and swiftly!
