Was the reaction to the Princess really a big thing across the user base? I'm not in the Discord but on the forums it was mostly two accounts stirring up shit.
I see the FL community be much more abrasive and ready to take arms for changes that are sudden and unanticipated. Much more accommodating and understanding when FBG announces stuff beforehand and provides reasoning. Elections & Estival, because they're surprises, can't be communicated beforehand.
But yeah getting angry and repurposed art assets? I love when FL re-uses art assets and I miss that they did it more. My favorite art in the game is still the very silly companion modifications for Hallowmas 2016, and the only time I've been even slightly angry at an art update is when they updated the base Henchman art because it made the repaints less similar to the base companion.
