I was already planning on deleting Duolingo when I hit 1000 days just to prove a point, even though I think it's a bad app and is especially garbage for learning Asian languages, but now that I've learned they laid off a bunch of people in favor of AI it ends now, at a completely unround number. good riddance! anyway I recommend HelloChinese if you're learning Mandarin, I credit it with me passing two levels of HSK. eat shit, Duo!
I also fully deleted my account and sent a brief email explaining why. Will it make a difference? Probably not! But it mattered to me
wow! welp, fuck THAT shit! time to look for an alternative for learning Japanese, i guess!
This sucks, I've been using Duolingo for a bunch of languages. I'm real bad at language practice unless I'm given a structure to follow xnx My current streak is 2581 days, but I might need to make the call now to quit :c
If anyone has alternative language learning tools, lemme knyow. I've been using Duolingo to keep up on a bunch of different languages, including Esperanto, basic Latin, Irish, Spanish, French, and Ukrainian. East Asian language learning tools would also be appreciated, as I want to get caught back up on Mandarin (maybe Cantonese at some point) as well as Japanese, and maybe Korean.
