Violence erupted outside a Glendale, CA school board meeting as anti-LGBTQ+ extremists assaulted multiple counterdemonstrators. Several members of white nationalist militias including Patriot Front and the Proud Boys were identified at the scene. The board met to vote on recognizing June as Pride Month, which passed unanimously.

LGBTQ+ fiction sales in the U.S. soared to a new high in the last 12 months, according to a new consumer behavior analysis, even though Republicans are moving to restrict sales and library availability of such books. But while the study noted several white and cisgender authors who are seeing increased sales, Black and transgender authors still find themselves in conservatives' crosshairs.

New York State may soon be home to the first trans male judge in U.S. history. Seth Marnin was appointed to the NY Court of Claims this week, and approved by the state Senate Judiciary committee; if confirmed, he will become the first out trans man in the country to command a courtroom.

Please don't get scammed by transphobes hawking "hormone alternatives." This week, someone tried to scam unsuspecting transfems with bogus "HRT style" pills they claimed could unlock natural hormonal readjustment. In reality, the pills contained only ashwagandha, a shrub used in traditional Indian medicine that carries some notable health risks in high doses -- and which can actually increase testosterone levels. Thankfully, this scam seems to have been cut short, but there will probably be others like it, so remember: not everyone who claims to be in community with you actually is.
