my personal take on the finance post is that I didn't know cohost was planning on rolling out subscriptions, and I cannot wait to try that out, both for my writing here and smut as @transamus. obviously I have no idea what the final product will look like, but with staff promising a 5% platform cut to start, that positions this site well ahead of any competitor I would use for either purpose.
cohost can't do everything patreon or onlyfans do right now, but the reverse is also true! being able to add custom css to things will be very fun once I figure out how to do that (you people are all wizards). and I can't think of any other site where I would be legit happy to see staff take their cut.
I don't have much of a point to this beyond "I am excite for sub" but yeah, I look forward to being an early adopter. not sure exactly what kind of project I would use it for right now; if you like paying for original writing and have thoughts of your own, leave a comment!
