If it's possible to get image alt text on these (challenging as that can be), that would be awesome!
oh for sure!! for good alt text should i basically like. copy over everything from the text bubbles? (also should i put that in the image description itself or in the comments? the alt text "box" on cohost is super small. apologies for the questions!)
Yeah! In the alt text box is the best even though it's small (so I usually use an external text editor and then paste it in), because then it makes it so that screen readers pronounce the image text instead of the word "image", and also makes it so that you can hover over the image or click it to see the alt text.

(Also also, if you embed images using , then if you put text in the [], like , then it turns into alt text! That's one way of getting around the size of the alt text box!)
Looks like Cohost handles at least 180,000 bytes of alt text with no problems - https://cohost.org/echoparallax/post/380496-uh-take-2/d5b684bcccf441d4906baa741ab41b84 should have the first 180,000 characters of War And Peace! I tried pasting the full War And Peace in but it didn't upload, so I figure that matches up well with the 200 KB of text limit on posts
i've tried to fix what i could on this one for the moment, but for all future installments i'll be able to do this from the get-go. thanks so much for the help!
