A pair of evil scientists lure hippies to their remote farm with the promise of drugs, and then brainwash them into “the perfect robot army”. When a cannibalistic escapee from a mental asylum in a stolen Santa Claus costume falls into their clutches, he infects the zombified hippies with his madness and kicks off “the most shocking cannibal freak-out ever seen in the movies” (this according to a narrator who keeps appearing on screen to tell us what is going on and how terrifying it all is). While we have technically given this movie a zero star rating, if you’re the sort of person who sees the title “Santa Claus Cannibal Freak-Out” and keeps reading, this might be for you - it’s a short movie at 78 minutes, the gore isn’t too bad (at one point you can clearly see a “victim” throw entrails at their “attacker”), and there are so many strange and unfortunate choices made by the filmmakers that it would fit in well at a worst-of-the-worst movie night if you’re willing to talk through the boring parts.
