Moodboard for an imaginary game

In January 2023 every day I made a room with a robot in it, and maybe wrote a little program for the robot in the room. This was also mixed in with rules, lore and rechosted inspirations. Nowadays this is just posts that evoke a particular feeling. Probably like 80% rechosts from @randochrontendo

Like Webster on Star Trek

For the last 30 days I’ve been posting a sort of serial improvisation about robots and architecture to this Cohost page.

Whatever this continues as will likely involve real computer programs of some kind, and may need some bake time before it's posted on the internet, so I’m not planning to continue daily updates here. I'll still be messing around on Cohost as @joeatwork, though.

In the mean time, here are some of my favorite bits from January:

It was a lot of fun to cut out all of these little guys for the secret architect, and I'm excited to keep exploring the collage and scrap paper feel of these entries in other forms if I can figure out how.

I think "Nixon on Laugh-In" was probably the entry that most fit with what I thought I was going to do when I started out - a sort of dry technical manual for a haunted house, where the house was haunted by the ghost of the latter half of the 20th century.

Finally, it was really fun to type the words "Santa Claus Cannibal Freak-Out" into a website. I'm not quite sure the whole psychotronic VHS collection actually worked, but they were a lot of fun to write.

And of course, you can see it all in reverse chronological order here with the tag.
