Okay!!!!!!!! I've got 5 builds, one for each subclass, and each one has its own fashion, I'm gonna order them by how much I like playing them, which is (maybe not) coincidentally also the order of how good I think they look. I only really play hunter so that's all that's here, and the Crucible scares me so they're all PvE focused, but I'm probably going to expand into the other classes once Final Shape adds account-wide power. I'm also gonna talk about my ghost at the end because I love her. Certified long post.

Solar

So this is my favorite build by a lot. My plan for prismatic to basically just take this build and swap in the strand super and strand melee. Gunslinger is just so much fun. For the longest time this build used Thorn and Golden Gun but I've recently switched to the current configuration which is:

  • Midnight Coup (Firefly+Kinetic Tremors)
  • Luna's Howl (Heal Clip+Incandescent)
  • Dragon's Breath
  • Blade Barrage
  • Lucky Pants
So that's 2 hand canons and lucky pants. I'm fuckin dual wielding baby! I've got solar and kinetic holster mods so I could probably go without ever reloading if I needed to. I considered getting subsistence on Luna's Howl instead of Heal Clip because god that gun reloads slow, and I'd love to have as many shots between reloads as possible, but if you've been in a vc with me while I played in the last couple months you have heard how much I'm saying "save me heal clip, heal clip save me," and it usually does! Honestly having two hand canons on lucky pants is arguably a liability since almost any time you switch weapons you need to shoot something immediately or lose your burst damage capabilities for 10 seconds, but something about this setup is so funny to me that I can't resist. Dragon's Breath is there of course because it's one of the better heavy weapons in the game, this is an ad clear build and Dragon's Breath does decent ad clear while also having some DPS potential so nobody can say I'm not pulling my weight in boss fights.

Void

It's so unfortunate that all your character previews show your kinetic weapon because this entire loadout was built around Vexcalibur. I found the quest to get it while going through all the Season of Defiance stuff a few weeks ago and went into Node Avalon thinking "oh it'll just be on par with a campaign or season mission, no need to get anyone else in to help." Cut to me an hour later, soaked in blood and radiolaria, having figured out that this was closer to a dungeon than a strike and deciding to solo it anyways. For my blood and toil I was rewarded with Vexcalibur, and immediately decided to make my entire void build around it. I'm actually glad this thing is void and not arc because it's maybe my favorite weapon and my void build was previously pretty directionless. Now I'm an ad clear/support/survivability machine, giving myself and teammates overshield and health regen while I blast through groups of enemies like it's a cinematic trailer. Plus I finally found an outfit to use my funny little Dares helmet with! I love Dares to death and it always makes me so happy to incorporate the things I earned while geting the title. Equipment is:

  • Midnight Coup (Firefly+Kinetic Tremors)
  • Vexcalibur (Crafted to my liking)
  • Hammerhead (Fourth Time's the Charm+Killing Tally)
  • Shadowshot: Moebius Quiver
  • Triton Vice

Arc

This loadout is the one that got me through that first Node Avalon completion. This used to be my go-to loadout for hitting things bodily, but now I'm feeling like I should maybe rework it for more general ability spam. For now it's a very basic setup:

  • Midnight Coup (Firefly+Kinetic Tremors)
  • Matador 64 (Perpetual Motion+One-Two Punch)
  • Two-Tailed Fox
  • Gathering Storm
  • Liar's Handshake
Fairly nice for ad clear, it's super fun in low-difficulty activities where i can just scamper around the arena one-shotting everything with combination blow. Honestly this loadout is great for Onslaught. I also get to show off that my Midnight Coup is shiny! My Hammerhead is too, but I didn't like how the ornament looked with any of the builds it's on. Of course, I had to use Two-Tailed Fox somewhere, it's another of those weapons that are funny to me, and cmon! I'm literally a foxgirl! Stimming with my three, high explosive tails!

Strand

Both of the darkness subclasses really grabbed me when I first started playing. I first picked up the game during season of the Splicer but then I fell off a couple months later and only started playing again in the Season of the Deep, so both the darkness subclasses were new at the times I was learning the ropes. Even if I've turned back to the Light, both Strand and Stasis have a certain tint of nostalgia for when I was a new light. Something you may have noticed is that the less I like playing a build, the less synergies and thought go into it, or maybe vice versa, but either way there's a feedback loop where the more I like a build, the better it becomes, and the more I talk about it! Here, not much to say. I love grapples and strand melee to death but not enough to give up my gunpowder gamble and all the things that synergize with solar. Equipment:

  • Outbreak Perfected
  • A Sudden Death (Envious Assassin+Cascade Point)
  • Hammerhead (Fourth Time's The Charm+Killing Tally
  • Silkstrike
  • ST0MP-EE5
If I could make an ornament for any exotic in the game it would be one that turns stompees into the bottom half of a fursuit and it would be called ST3P-EE5.

Stasis

Boo-womp. I know it's getting reworked in 2 days but I think stasis is and will remain my least favorite subclass. That said, I had amazing fun with it when I was a new light and I'll still throw it on once in a while for some non-optimal but funny ability spam.

  • Monte Carlo
  • BXR-55 Battler (Demolitionist+Incandescent)
  • Hammerhead (Fourth Time's The Charm+Killing Tally)
  • Gathering Storm
  • Mothkeeper's Wraps
I've always loved the darkness melees. I love hitting an enemy and watching all the ads in the same post code go up in particle effects. I know Monte Carlo has an intended playstyle for getting up close and personal with the catalyst and whatever but I just looked at it, said "What the fuck is a Markov Chain," and kept throwing ninja stars. Added Mothkeeper Wraps because my wife is a mothgirl (hi @pennyallavodka) and I like that it gives me 2 grenade charges to match my 2 melee charges. Also despite the fact that I was mega hyped for Superblack and got it within an hour and a half of the final BRAVE missions dropping, this is my only build that uses it, and only on the helmet. Oh fun fact, all of these builds use 3 different shaders across the different armor pieces. You may have fragments that syngergize with your guns, but does your cape syngergize with your boots?

My Ghost

Ghosts!!!! Our little buddies, little pieces of the Traveler that went across the solar system to bestow us with godlike power, but more importantly, to be our friends :). I think everyone should name their ghost, they're adorable and I love them. Mine is suno Lili [sic]. It's toki pona! The phrase "suno lili" translates to "little light," but as a name it means "a Light named Lili," Lili also being the toki-ponization of Lily, which is the name I gave to my pc, which I play Destiny 2 on! A pretty name with layers to it!! I gave her the gyroscope shell so she can stim by spinning the rings around, and put my favorite shader on her, Irradiant Charoite. I also gave her the little "Your light fades away" projection because I think it looks sick. suno Lili is my favorite little guy and I love her to death even if she won't let me drink vex milk.

Thank you <3 <3 <3 <3 I'll post my ghost when the servers are back up tomorrow, they're using the balls shell with a wooden shader, I think it's really chill and cool though my fireteam is a bit weirded out by it :P

I'm glad we both have good taste RE: Bird hats though
