i think in 1e thats an alternative racial trait for halflings? and yeah, either way that feels like a once-per-campaign gimmick unless ur trapped in a magical circus or something
though i could see it being fun when paired with another PC who looks like or is a child, assuming ur GM accepts "with a child" as "not out of place" for a toy
