i know this is an extremely cold education take at this point, but - come on. it feels like pedagogy died years ago and all the educational system has left is it's frozen roots, all innovation killed as it starts
a professor, telling us why she chose to go back to closed book tests after the pandemic, justified it simply because "that's how we've always done it".
how can i trust her when she tells me to critique our surroundings with our art when she refuses to look with the same eyes at her own work?
how can you expect education to be anything more than a degree mill when all of your students end up having to see you as another lost case of "do as i say, not as i do"?
