Hai!
After hours of crisis about electricity. I've understood the very basics of AC circuitry

Impedance is the resistance to AC voltage. It 'lags' the wave of any voltage wave, and everything has an impedance. Impedance is a complex number but can be simplified for each different use. But its an important factor in calculating AC circuits, and since all circuits are AC, its very important (DC is just simplified AC).

And its hard to wrap my brain around it. But its the basics of AC, since I want to understand how TV cables work. I need to learn AC circuitry, then radio waves. Then finally Ill get why coaxial cables are standard.

Did you know that coaxial cables can transmit 11 Gbps with just one wire without any significant signal loss? Its insane

Its the peak of wires, before fiber optics, coaxial was used for everything. And its still used in a lot of places. Bc its insanely good at what it does.

Did you know that we had transatlantic wired communication using coaxial cables right after the US civil war? 1858, we had fucking electric communication using a cable we still use to this day 200 years ago

Queen Victoria fucking sent the first message to US president back then using this wire that stretched from UK to USA

I would've compared this to other technology. But the first color photo was taken around this time as well. And still electricity was not common place by this point.

Did u know that 'limelight' literally refers to light created when u heat limerock?
