Gumball guardian would be an alternate for the Eva but that would require design skill beyond what I have. Also yes, everything between misato and kaji translates over to bubbeline, but i will not be drawing that.

I'm cringing so bad but I did it. I feel like an idiot drawing outside my comfort zone but it definitely keeps me modest. S/o to @Video-Game-King for putting this idea in my head.

I'm not super familiar with either of my references, but I generally aim to be able to draw more realistically, and adventure time's character designs give me grievous pain. It didn't even occur to me that I would need significant changes to port over a pencil skirt to it when I just thought I'd draw misato's clothes over a noodle person and it would be as simple as that. All in all, I think this was batting for the fences, but it made me appreciate the work skilled artists go through a lot more to reconcile disparate elements. I do feel like if I traced some of misato's settei though, I could probably pull off drawing her up to her head.
