I'm rewatching Galaxy Express 999 for a particular scene in the middle of the movie. I guess I just wanted to share these two screencaps because they highlight some of the things I read into the movie that I'm not sure Leiji Matsumoto ever intended. But a lot of what I think he did intend hits too. Being young and desperate and getting tunnel vision for what you think you want. Peeking at a woman in the shower who looks physically identical to your dead mom. Just boyhood things.
