OK so like, what realistically would I need to learn to draw to make a barebones 'sona for myself?

  • heads with snouts. i can hack this one to my satisfaction by just banging 3d shapes together
  • paws. no idea where to start on this one. abstract them from reference, i guess
  • fur. you just draw some wavy lines in a few places along the skin. no problem
  • hair. actually more difficult than hands and probably the biggest thing that's stopping me. makes me want to curl up into a ball and cry just thinking about it

can she cook?

i think so yeah. the fun thing about drawing is that pretty much everything is 3d shapes really, even hair

for the pawbs i would try looking on archive.org for like... animal anatomy drawing books if i were you? i've got one at home but i dont remember the title right now. as for hair... i dunno, i'd look at a few pictures of hairstyles you like, see how the hair falls on the head/face/neck, and then try drawing it. maybe from a few different angles too
