let it be known that while the winters suck, everybody knows the winters suck, and we're mostly prepared for it. the big secret for when you have to go outside: layers. like, a ridiculous amount of them.

Looked this up more cause I was curious and it does seem like Mpls winters are longer and a bit colder. Actually surprising to me because of the reputation Chicago winters have for being especially brutal, but I guess maybe people (myself included) just have limited knowledge of Midwest winters elsewhere.
