you're so fucking right, that's a great idea for getting the kitchen kitted out
just make sure the inner bowl is in good condition, you want one that has basically no deep gouges since buying a replacement one will usually be like 50$ if you can at all, and with rice cookers you WILL have to take them apart to clean their gaskets for potential mold growth like i did with mine, but its SO worth it to go to like goodwill or savers or whatever you got to look for kitchen stuff, i see really nice pots n pans there for dirt cheap (also sewing supplies, ironing boards, office supplies, fabric, blankets............)
