"emotionless robot feels for the first time" is good and all but "robot that's been told it's emotionless realizes it's been feeling the whole time" is where it's really at
Hi! Just a cute trans girl on the internet. I have a plethora of random little hobbies and creative media I like to make stuff in, which I may or may not post when I have time. :3
This girl dreams of being a gamedev someday.
A little bit of a creature.
Going to miss Cohost so much when it's gone. :( Let's carry Eggbug in our hearts...

I love how the whole "Xemnas said Nobodies don't have Hearts or emotions, but they clearly do, what's going on?" "plothole" can be easily explained with two words: Xemnas lied.
That's what made the Commander Data story so tragic because he kept not realizing it and chasing after it
"The Most Toys" is such a great example of that
Data flat-out tries to kill Fajo after he murders his assistant, and lies through his teeth when he's asked about the phaser discharge
and his final interaction with Fajo is as close to flipping him an angry double deuce as he's capable of directly expressing
somewhat relatedly, ever since i was a kid i wanted something to subvert the "robot thinks love does not compute / needs it to be explained" by making a story where love is intuitively obvious to robots but they can't understand hate / violence (probably to their manufacturers' dismay) because they can run the numbers and see how it never works out. like WarGames, i guess, but different
oh my god i forgot this game existed
thank you for reminding me of it, i don't think i ever finished it
