Hi! Just a cute trans girl on the internet. I have a plethora of random little hobbies and creative media I like to make stuff in, which I may or may not post when I have time. :3
This girl dreams of being a gamedev someday.
A little bit of a creature.

Going to miss Cohost so much when it's gone. :( Let's carry Eggbug in our hearts...

Very cool podcast If Books Could Kill did a whole episode on this topic. What the hosts point out is that all of this was extremely easy to figure out because all they had to do to debunk was go to the primary source, an organization for retailers, to find out that their glossy PDFs were just bullshit from top to bottom.

there's a stock image in the CNBC article showing a rack full of dental floss locked behind a “press button for help” pane, and it’s making me seethe. Imagine needing to flag down a store associate so they can keyfob-unlock the sliding glass door to retrieve a box of dental floss and stick it in an alarmed acrylic case that needs to then be unlocked at the register. It's a bad experience for everyone involved.

I think one of my "favorite" bits about this thing was when Walgreen announced in like, 2019 that they were going to close a bunch of stores in 3 years or so, and then, weirdly, we had that blitz of "Walgreens shuttering stores due to shoplifting!" stories, then it got quiet.
