I won't say that getting put on a Twitter list called "idiot tranny" is a good experience, but I will say it makes you less susceptible to "what if I'm just faking it" feelings
There needs to be some word for gender affirmation (negative). I work in automotive repair and a lot of the unwanted attention in the past 2-3 years I've gotten is men straight up being sexist to me. Like, subconsciously some part of them recognizes my feminity because they same the same shit to my female colleagues.
