I'm afraid I don't really have any tips for people going back to HTML, I literally make my site in Notepad++ from the basics I learned on Lissa Explains back in the early 2000s, a tutorial site for children. If you've ever wondered why my little site looks like that, there you go! I have heard good things about Neocities for those wanting to make an old-style website, but I'm afraid that's all I can tell you, sorry!
