I haven't posted most of the stuff I've drawn over the last few months because it's largely been preliminary stuff for some Godfeels locations we haven't seen yet... but a big part of that process has been doing studies of art and architecture and I think I CAN post that stuff (selectively redacted) without giving too much away :)

I'm particularly proud of the one original design here, the Michael Graves inspired gamer chair. I love taking a fundamentally stupid premise with grave (ho ho) aesthetic seriousness and seeing it through to its silly end.

I forgot this page! I started doing these studies because in Uri Shulevitz's book on illustrating children's books he talks about doing sketch pages of a bunch of references that he thinks might find useful, like a sketch diary, and that seemed like a useful practice. so, here's another big page of George Nelson designs, plus a couple little things that might make it into the story somewhere. I really like the Kirby Krackle Clock, which displays the time with Jack Kirby style dynamic ink blots.
