in baldur’s gate 2 there is a lich named vangoethe and i would to tell him to fuck off forever.

i would also like to say that this is my second time through throne of bhaal and it really feels like like this story was conceptualised for a much larger game (some kind of baldur’s gate 3 if you will). then it got shrunk down to kind of just the boss fights and their associated dungeons, leaving aside the stuff that really makes baldur’s gate so memorable (side quests involving about weird guys).

throne of bhaal is worth playing through once to see the whole story through, i think. but unless you’re absolutely in love with the intricacies of how your particular party plays at high levels (and i am really not this time out) it’s not that much fun on a replay; this was my third playthrough of shadows of amn and certainly won’t be the last, but this will be the last time i play throne of bhaal for a very long time.
