The draw of sequencers to me is really that l just want to make cool sounds, I don’t want to know scales and chords and melody I WANT A SICK BASS LINE AND I WANT IT TO BE SO SICK IM IMAGINING MYSELF IN A CONVERTIBLE WITH SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT. Sequencers help me make the bass line easier so I can imagine myself in the convertible faster. Maybe that’s why I barely ever finish songs. After I put down the drums and bass and maybe a basic melody in a loop I’ve already gotten everything I need. I’m imagining myself in the convertible now.
