it is kind of incredible how Street Fighter became so huge that it became enticing enough to people who had no idea what it was about to make a movie out of it. or, that's what I would like to say, if I hadn't just found out Capcom bankrolled most of the film and had to approve everything!

this movie is fucking wild. it's like they had a heated meeting where the end result was "we have to fucking introduce all of the characters in the first 15 minutes NO MATTER WHAT" and then they desperately began to find extras in the first scene who their actors could download into like Agent Smith.

Chun-Li, Balrog and Honda are news reporters who got into the business together for the sole reason of tracking Bison down and taking their revenge. Chun-Li's father was killed by Bison. Balrog and Honda's careers were destroyed by Bison. Balrog and Honda really hold a grudge!

Dee Jay is Bison's IT guy.

Zangief is just there.

Dhalsim is a scientist coerced by Bison to create a super soldier: Blanka.

Vega is super hot.

And Ken and Ryu are like, con artists who con bad guys out of their money???
