loaded up Forza Horizon 5 cuz I wanted the Barbie cars and man this game is so weighed down by UI and having your control taken away from you.
I expected to get in, do whatever I needed to get the car, and then drive it a bit. Well no, first I get dropped into a mission right away with a cutscene. I don't recall if I was in the middle of this mission the last time I played. Exit out of that, then go through all of my Car Gift email to get the Barbie cars, which requires a small download for each one. Then I go to my Car Collection to clear out the notifications. Then I go to the Change Car menu, which is separate from my Car Collection (you cannot change cars from your Car Collection) to get in the car. Alright I'm in the car, but for some reason there is a route plotted on my map already. Maybe for the next part of the mission I wasn't interested in? Later on I want to open the map to see where I am and no, sorry, the map isn't for that, it's so they can have people suddenly start talking to me and scrolling my map to the places they think I should go for a new mission. And then while all of this is happening I get the same "wow you drove past somebody going fast let's give you points for that" notifications. I eventually turned those off.
anyway the Barbie cars are good glad I got them
