kinda wanna host a cohost version of fxtwitter for better embeds in Discord but I have no idea how much it would cost if it got popular and pulling the plug suddenly would be bad. also I don't want to do tech support. in fact I don't want to do anything required to host my own version of fxtwitter. but it's the thought that counts. post now.

Itd be difficult i think because some css crimes would probably just need to be screenshotted outright. Rendering them in a preview would be hard for something thats expecting text, but i guess you could just strip out the css part and only send the text/pictures
oh yeah that's a great point and you are correct, I would not try to handle the CSS crimes at all, I really just want to see four images in an embed when a post has four images and anything else is gravy
afaik webpages can be rendered with headless-chromium, which is an resource expensive beast to run on-demand
